Description Nurse Practitioner NP / Family Practice / Palliative Our client is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a passion for palliative care to join our interdisciplinary Palliative Care home based service. Our Client believes people are entitled to a safe, comfortable death. The goal is to ensure the quality of life is enhanced through compassionate care for people affected by advanced illness and grief. Our client offers the following benefits: $80,000 to $100,000 depending on experience PTO - 35 days (14 vacation, 4 Personal, 12 Sick, 5 days CME) 5 days CME with $1500 reimbursement Group medical/dental/vision 403(b) retirement plan - 3% match Malpractice Insurance Covered Laptop or Tablet Provided Nurse Practitioner NP / Family Practice / Palliative Job Responsibilities Nurse practitioners are advanced registered nurses educated and trained to provide health promotion and maintenance through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic condition. Principal responsibilities include providing palliative medicine consultation (home based, inpatient, ICU and outpatient settings) and program development to continue to integrate palliative care within the organization. Additional responsibilities for the Family Nurse Practitioner NP include: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM 7-8 patients a day Limited Call By Phone 99% is home based/House calls Weekly Monday meeting Job Requirements We are looking for dedicated and professional Family Nurse Practitioner NP who are committed to providing exceptional patient care and service. It is also important that you are highly organized and that you demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Specific qualifications for the Family Nurse Practitioner NP role include: Board Certified as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant NYS License required New Grads Considered Masters in nursing with specialization in Adult, Geriatric or Family Medicine, Oncology or closely related fields. Experience and certification in palliative care, hospice and/or pain treatment preferred.
