Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Manager is responsible for the overall supervision of a 24-bed SubAcute unit including nursing staff, respiratory therapists, Social Worker, Case Manager, Activities Leader and MDS Coordinator. The Clinical Manager will ensure that general Standards of Practice, Regulatory requirements, and Policies and Procedures are maintained, promote good working relationships within the department, develop a strong relationship with the Medical Director and act as liaison between Hospital Administration and ancillary departments. RESPONSIBLE TO: The Clinical Manager of the SubAcute Unit reports directly to both the Unit Director at the hospital and to the District Director of Clinical Services of VitalCare America (hereinafter called "VCA"). The Clinical Manager has 24 hour clinical, administrative and fiscal responsibility. POSITION RELATIONSHIP: The Clinical Manager collaborates with the Human Resources Department in the interviewing, selection, and hiring process of appropriate Unit staff. The Clinical Manager collaborates with the Hospital Clinical Nurse Educator to structure in-service and continuing education classes to meet the regulatory requirements of the SubAcute program. The Clinical Manager ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations. Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California Current Basic Life Support Certification Strong leadership and communication skills Minimum of three years nursing experience required, including one year in a supervisory role Respiratory experience is preferred Previous Long Term Care experience is preferred * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
