Description If you are looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity, join the team of Franciscan Tacoma Rehabilitation Hospital. This brand new hospital is currently under construction and will serve patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The 60-bed hospital is a joint venture partnership between Franciscan CHI and Kindred Healthcare in Tacoma, WA. The Chief Clinical Officer/Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) is actively involved, at the executive level, in the leadership of the organization. Organizes and administers areas of Patient Care Services. The Chief Clinical Officer/Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) functions under the direction and supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and assumes responsibility and accountability for Nursing and other clinical departments as assigned. The CCO/DCPS in collaboration with the leadership team, develops, implements, interprets and assures compliance with policies and procedures including compliance with federal and state regulations and accreditation standards. The Chief Clinical Officer is responsible for implementing hospital goals and objectives based on budget parameters. The CCO reinforces the mission and vision of the hospital in all interactions. Qualifications: Experience/Skills: Graduate of accredited registered nurse program with current licensure in the state. Master's degree with at least 3 years of experience in patient care services and management preferred. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred. Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) or at least 3 years of experience in rehabilitation nursing preferred. Minimum of three years of previous nursing management preferred. Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate and direct activities of clinical personnel; effective oral and written communication skills, in English with additional languages preferred; proficiency in basic computer skills required.
