Description ee10902 Provide clinical expertise to patients and their families; is a resource for health providers, as well as nursing, social services and other support care staff. Perform duties related to clinical direct care of patients in accordance with the Palliative care clinical guidelines and scope of practice. Will work independently with medical direction and appropriate supervision as provided for by one or more physicians and the patient’s primary care physician. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and College of Health Sciences and Current ARNP license in the state of Iowa required. Board certification as an advanced practice hospice and palliative care nurse by a nationally recognized certifying agency is strongly preferred. Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Two years Nurse Practitioner experience in Palliative or Hospice care preferred.
