Description Physical Therapist needed for a 13 week contract in a full time PT position near the beautiful area of Lake Tahoe in Nevada. The Physical Therapist will be working in an outpatient setting in the Reno, Nevada area. Keeping a tradition of quality, this hospital in northwestern Nevada keeps a comfortable, and accessible environment for its diverse patients. Surrounded by a budding city filled with economic development, the hospital specializes in orthopedic surgery, diagnostic imaging, sports medicine, and wound care. With neighboring national parks and a short drive to Lake Tahoe, there is surely no shortage of entertainment or activities. This PT will be responsible for the evaluation planning directing and administering of Physical Therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. The PT will administer treatments and any occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury disease or physical disability. This Physical Therapist will assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities Regulatory Requirements: - Current state licensure for Physical Therapy in Nevada is required - Three or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy preferred. - Current BCLS certification. Language Skills: - Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. - Additional languages preferred. - Strong written and verbal skills. Skills: - Basic computer knowledge. - Knowledge of physical medicine physical therapy modalities anatomy and physiology. - Knowledge of physical and occupational therapy machine operation maintenance and repairs of it.
