The Opportunity
·118 bed hospital
·10 bed ICU
·ICU is open, the hospitalists do manage the ICU patients
·Procedures are not required, but available if desired
·24/7 anesthesia back up
·12 hour shifts (7a-7p; 7p-7a). A 4th hospitalist works 9a-9p  
·4 on during the day shift, one at night
·Physician assistant that works Monday-Friday, 7-4
·Average patients-13-15
·Daily interdisciplinary rounds meeting
·Great relationship with case managers and social workers
·Hospitalists run codes
