Dentist Needed in FQHC in Queens NY
•  Must have pediatric experience
•  Performs general dentistry, screening, and evaluation of children, adolescents, and adults
•  Diagnoses dental disease
•  Fills cavities
•  Performs prophylaxis
•  Instructs patients on oral hygiene
•  Performs root canals
•  Screens for oral cancer
•  Takes and interprets periapical X-rays
•  Applies sealants and stainless crowns
•  Makes referrals for treatment not provided at The Floating Hospital and for specialty consultations
•  Assists in and encourages patients to attend follow-up visits
•  Uses diagnostic data to make treatment decisions
•  Monitors the dental inventory
•  Oversees general maintenance of dental equipment
•  Maintains proper aseptic protocols as per OSHA and the Department of Health
•  Ensures proper disposal of bio-hazardous materials
