Must have an extensive background working with adolescent and child patient case load. The candidate’s background should include experience with psychiatric assessment and treatment of children and adolescents, including the treatment of medical patients with cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs, medical management Approximately 1 in 5 young people 13–18 (21.4%) experiences a severe mental disorder at some point during their lives.
