Coverage Needed

• January 2, 2024 - July 1, 2024
  

• Hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30a-2:30p for 8hrs/day.
  
• Full time for the duration is needed, they can accommodate appropriate time off requests.
  

• A single provider is preferred to gain familiarity as they have a busy service with multiple attendings/specialties, but a combination of providers could work if they are qualified and could each do several months at a time.
  
• The supervision physician is an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon, among other Orthopedic specialty surgeons that collaborate.
  
• Primarily, the job role is rounding, dressing changes, addressing floor/nursing questions, coordinating care with other services, discharge planning. They might assist the 1st responder PA at times with consults, but not alone (always with the full time PA).
  

Requirements

• Physician Assistant in Orthopedic Trauma with successful completion of PA program accredited by the AMA council onmedical education
  
• PA preferred but NP would be fine -if it is an NP they do NOT need RNFA.
  
• Basic Cardiac Life Support
  
• Successful completion of PA program accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education
  

• There are many APPs in the hospital/department, immediate team has 5 full time PAs that the locum would be working with. There are additional PAs that are involved with elective cases that they communicate with.
