Description Location: Kenai Peninsula, Soldotna AK Duration: January - Ongoing Reason for coverage: FM doc leaving in Jan, they have a long time outpatient ped locum returning for the outpatient coverage but she does not do inpatient Schedule: 1 week/month of call Call: 7a Mon – 7a Mon Patient volume: between 2-5 census daily Scope: attend high risk births (c-sections, or high risk), admit peds on med surg as well, up to 18 yrs old. Common reasons for admission: Mental health, RSV. No NICU level of care, stabilize until transport team arrives and ship to Anchorage. Procedures: possibly draw blood off umbilical artery, intubations, etc EMR: EPIC Affiliated Hospital: Central Peninsula Hospital Group/support: 2 other pediatricians, Requirements (boards, license): MUST HAVE NRP CERT. Boarded in PEDS Required and AK License strongly preferred, but open to licensing candidates that meet the other requirements Client selling points: Great environment, especially during the summer months. Patient loads are not overwhelming.
