Locum Tenens Anesthesiology Physician

Location: Near Horizon City, TX

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Anesthesiology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Horizon City, TX. This position offers full-time hours with a flexible schedule in a level 2 trauma center. The role includes both outpatient and inpatient work, with a focus on CRNA supervision and some solo cases. Position Overview:

Position Type: Locum Tenens

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: April 1, 2025 (with potential for extension)

Full-Time Hours: Minimum of 2 continuous weeks per month

Practice Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient

Call Requirements: Negotiable

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise CRNAs in both outpatient and inpatient settings, handling a variety of cases

Perform some solo anesthesiology cases

Provide proficiency in regional anesthesia

No cardiac cases involved

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care

Qualifications:

Board Certification: Required (Board-eligible also considered)

Fellowship: Preferred but not required

License: Must hold an active Texas medical license

Certifications:
- ACLS: Required
- BLS: Required

Temporary Privileges: Available for quick onboarding

Facility and Practice Details:

Facility Type: Level 2 trauma center

EMR System: Cerner

Privileges: Required for hospital/surgery center

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days

Holidays Allowed: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
