We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Orthopedics for a locum tenens assignment. This exciting opportunity near Jefferson, Oregon, offers a chance to contribute to both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting the orthopedic team with a combination of clinical hours and on-call duties.

Position Overview:

Location: Near Jefferson, Oregon

Role Type: Locum Tenens (with potential for permanent placement)

Specialty: Orthopedics (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

Start Date: Expected to begin in December 2024, pending credentialing

Schedule: Monday through Friday, with a mix of surgical and clinic responsibilities

Call Requirements: Approximately 8-9 call shifts per month from 5 pm to 7 pm, covering clinic calls only

Job Highlights:

Duties Include:
- Assisting in surgeries (Mondays)
- Clinical support in orthopedic care (Tuesday through Friday)

Patient Volume: Expected caseload of 16-20 patients per shift

Call Requirements: Primarily for clinic-related calls with a 20-minute response time

Support Team: Access to 4 Medical Assistants and a robust support team

Requirements:

Oregon License is required at the time of application due to the urgent need for coverage.

BLS Certification required; additional certification may be an advantage.

Experience in Orthopedics is preferred, particularly with both clinical and surgical duties.

Candidates should ideally have a clean credentialing file to facilitate an expedited start.

Additional Information:

Credentialing: Estimated to take up to 90 days; candidates available to start in December are preferred.
