We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide Cardiac Surgery inpatient care as a locum tenens provider near New Haven, CT. This position offers a flexible schedule with ASAP - Ongoing availability, and the ideal candidate should have experience in cardiac surgery inpatient care, particularly pre- and post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients.

Position Overview:

Position: NP/PA - Cardiovascular Surgery

Location: Near New Haven, CT

Schedule: Flexible, with three 13-hour night shifts per week, including rotating weekends

Dates: ASAP - Ongoing

Job Responsibilities:

Provide care for pre- and post-cardiac surgery patients in the ICU, CVU, and inpatient units

Collaborate with cardiac surgeons to deliver high-quality patient care

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage post-operative care

Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for cardiac patients

Schedule:

Shift Type: 13-hour night shifts

Rotating Weekends: Yes

On-call: No

Job Requirements:

Certifications:
- Board-certified NP or PA
- Valid state license in Connecticut
- BLS/ACLS certification

Experience: Must have previous experience in cardiac surgery, ICU, or cardiovascular care

Skills:
- Ability to manage critical care patients
- Proficiency in post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
