What You’ll Do:
- Conduct screening, assessment, and treatment of communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders in long-term care residents
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and evidence-based practices
- Monitor patient progress and document outcomes accurately in electronic health records
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify interventions as needed
- Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members regarding speech and swallowing disorders
- Ensure compliance with ASHA and state regulations, including documentation and record-keeping
- Support and supervise CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists when applicable
What You Need:
- Active ASHA-certified State Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (preferably in LTC)
- Strong communication, assessment, and clinical intervention skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to adherence to professional ethics and regulatory standards
