What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and stage cancers through clinical assessments, imaging, and laboratory testing
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies as appropriate
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on response and clinical status
- Manage treatment-related side effects and provide supportive care to improve quality of life
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes
- Coordinate care with surgeons, radiologists, certified oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, and oncology navigators
- Support participation in clinical trials, research initiatives, and quality improvement activities
- Stay current on oncology guidelines and evidence-based practices to optimize patient care
- Mentor and guide healthcare staff in oncology-related practices (as needed)
What You Need
