What You’ll Do
- Provide inpatient OB Hospitalist coverage for obstetrical admissions and needs
- Serve as backup call support for Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)
- Manage and support high-risk obstetrical deliveries
- Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, including 24/7 anesthesiology, neonatology, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists
- Respond to callback needs while maintaining required proximity (15 minutes) to the hospital while on call
- Partner with CNMs who take first call and are surgical first assist trained
- Support an average volume of approximately 600 annual deliveries
- Document care in the Meditech EMR
What You Need
Required
- Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active Tennessee medical license
- Active DEA registration
- Minimum 2 years of OB Hospitalist experience
- High-risk delivery experience required
- Ability to maintain within 15 minutes of the hospital while on call
