What You’ll Do
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical disorders
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADL) retraining, therapeutic exercises, and use of supportive devices
- Administer procedures as part of the rehab plan under supervision of the Occupational Therapist
- Assess patient progress and communicate adjustments needed to the supervising therapist
- Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, progress, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Participate in team meetings, patient care conferences, and required trainings
- Support the supervision of students and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
- Adhere to NBCOT / AOTA and state practice acts, ethics, and conduct
What You Need
- Active State Occupational Therapist Assistant License/Registration
- Prior experience in long-term care or rehab settings preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow clinical protocols and documentation standards
